FAQ
Q. WHEN SHOULD I START THINKING ABOUT IMPACT AND CREATIVE DISTRIBUTION?
A: It's never too early. We recommend incorporating distribution and impact strategy into your planning from the very beginning—including during budgeting and development. Ideally, we like to come on board by the rough cut stage to help shape the best possible outcomes.
Q. WHAT IF MY FILM HAS BEEN RELEASED OR WE’RE ALREADY WORKING WITH A DISTRIBUTOR?
A: If your film is already widely available—such as on a streaming platform—or if you’re working with a traditional distributor, we may not be the right fit. Our work is most effective when we’re involved earlier in the process. That said, we're always open to hearing about your goals. If there’s still an opportunity for meaningful impact work, don’t hesitate to reach out.
Q. CAN I SUBMIT MY FILM FOR YOU TO WATCH?
A. Absolutely—we love watching new work and are happy to take a look, time permitting. Please send us a screener and password via the link at the bottom of the page. Your submission will remain private and will never be shared.
Q. I’M INTERESTED IN EDUCATIONAL DISTRIBUTION, CAN YOU HELP?
A: Yes! We specialize in creating distribution strategies for the educational market, including schools, universities, and libraries. Twin Seas Media is also an official supplier to Kanopy—one of the largest educational streaming platforms—used by thousands of public libraries and universities across the U.S. and around the world.
Q. HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN IN BUSINESS?
A: Twin Seas Media was founded in 2015. Our team brings over 20 years of combined experience in film and television, with a strong background in writing and producing. This hands-on creative experience deeply informs our strategy and decision-making.
Q. HOW MUCH DO YOU CHARGE?
A: Our fees vary based on the scale and scope of each project. Creative distribution and impact campaigns are typically structured on a monthly retainer.
We also offer one-on-one consulting sessions to help with specific questions, strategic planning, or guidance on your impact campaign or release. Consulting rates start at $250 per hour, with discounted packages available when booking 5, 10, or 20 hours.

Q. DO YOU TAKE RIGHTS FROM MY FILM?
A: In most cases, no. For creative distribution campaigns, semi-theatrical and theatrical tours, and festival strategy, we typically don’t require any rights to your film. However, for educational distribution—especially through streaming platforms—we may need to discuss certain rights to ensure proper licensing and access.
