Founded in 2015, Twin Seas Media is a filmmaker-centered, boutique agency dedicated to provide multi-platform, creative distribution for independent documentary films and to help filmmakers connect with audiences through strategies that are effective, transparent, fresh and collaborative.
MARGA VAREA
Founder & Producer
Marga is an Emmy-nominated impact producer and distribution strategist with over two decades of experience in the industry. Originally from Spain, she started her career in narrative film and national television, later transitioning into the non-fiction world. Marga joined the team of PBS/POV documentary TRACES OF THE TRADE in 2009, leading its impact and international sales for five years. Her experience led to founding Twin Seas Media, a filmmaker-centered, creative distribution boutique agency dedicated to creative distribution for independent documentaries.
Over the years, Marga has worked with dozens of projects, including A CRIME ON THE BAYOU, by Nancy Buirski, A RECKONING IN BOSTON, by James Rutenbeck (ITVS), PONY BOYS, by Eric Stange (NYT Op-Docs), IN THE WHALE, by David Abel, MY SWEET LAND, by Sareen Hairabedian, and UNTIL HE'S BACK, by Jacqueline Baylon, which was shortlisted for the 97th Academy Awards in the Best Documentary Short Subject category.
Marga also consults for film festivals, in the areas of audience engagement and programming.
CHARLOTTE TAYLOR
Impact Coordinator
Charlotte is a creative from Nashville, TN. She is interested in non-fiction storytelling for its potential to create just representations of culture and impact social awareness. She earned a BSFS in Culture and Politics with minors in Studio Art and Portuguese from Georgetown University. Following graduation, Charlotte was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship to an independent research project studying documentary film and community-based film practices among Guaraní youth in São Paulo, Brazil. The project culminated in a short collaborative film exploring how Guaraní youth utilize film to express themselves and their culture. Prior to her time in Brazil, Charlotte worked as the festival coordinator at the documentary film festival DC/DOX in 2024. She has also worked as a Production Assistant on short films, music videos, and commercials in New York, Nashville, and São Paulo. Charlotte is thrilled to be a part of the Impact Production team at Twin Seas Media.
